Short bio
Based in Geneva and originally from Viseu, Portugal, DJ Rafal has been mixing Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall and Shatta since 2015. Resident of the Downtown Boogie (DTB) nights at D! Club Lausanne, he has played Paléo Festival Nyon and Montreux Jazz Festival, and shared the bill with Lacrim, Dadju, Werenoi and Niro.

Electric, energetic and attentive to the crowd, DJ Rafal builds every set around the venue and the moment. Originally from Viseu, Portugal, and based in Geneva, he has been part of the Lake Geneva nightlife scene since 2015, moving between Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall and Shatta. In 2026, he joined the Downtown Boogie (DTB) team and became a resident of DTB at D!
From Geneva and Lausanne to Lisbon, Viseu or Annecy, he has gradually taken his sound beyond the region.
Along the way, he has also shared the bill with artists such as Lacrim, Dadju, Werenoi and Niro. From mainstream to more cutting-edge selections, Rafal keeps an open approach, able to adapt to very different crowds and atmospheres.
